Up to the age of seven you’ll need to supervise toothbrushing to minimise swallowing. After the age of seven, your child should be able to take care of their own teeth. This is also around about the same time that their permanent teeth are coming through too, so it’s more important than ever to make sure they’re brushing properly, and have a regular brushing routine.
