When you’re a child, you don’t have much influence over what happens to you – your pesky parents pretty much decide everything on your behalf!

But there’s one thing children can have a say over, and that’s what goes in their mouths. So sometimes letting them control some other part of the brushing experience means they won’t put their foot down in other areas, like the brushing itself.

This can be anything from letting them take the lid off the toothpaste to letting them brush your teeth after you’ve done theirs – but try a few things to see what works best.
